Both the individuals who minister and the design and implementation of ministry systems need to be Christ-centered. Not just in word, but also in our actions and the community we develop.

Promoting Contextualized church planting and ministries

Contextualization is the skillful and biblical application of God's Word to a particular situation or context, in word, action and community. Both cultural insiders and cultural outsiders have a hard time contextualizing because we all tend to view the gospel through the lens of our culture. Normally it's through insiders and outsiders working together that the Holy Spirit contextualizes the gospel in a given area.

Promoting a Dialogue in Ministry with those We Serve

Although we bring some expertise, we don't pretend to have, or to be able to come up with, all the answers. Whenever possible we work along side of those we serve to understand more clearly what the Lord has been teaching them in their context. The most meaningful communication is found at the intersection and integration point of our words, actions and motivations. By working together, the meaning of our words is clarified, and we are more likely to learn from each other and avoid ethnocentrism.
